Bring me the thing you can’t stop thinking about.
The messy idea. The offer you keep changing. The website that doesn’t quite say what you mean. The content problem. The big opportunity. The “something here isn’t working and I can’t put my finger on it” feeling.
This is exactly the kind of stuff I love talking through.
Founder Strategy Session
A Founder Strategy Session gives us two focused hours to get everything out of your head, look at what’s really going on, ask some good questions, follow the interesting threads, and figure out what you want to do next.
What types of things can we work through?
A lot, honestly. You don’t have to fit your session neatly into one category, but here are some of the things people bring me all the time.
-
What should we actually be talking about?
How do we turn all these ideas into a content plan?
Why does our content feel disconnected from the business?
What platforms actually make sense for us?
How can we reuse what we’re already creating instead of constantly starting over?
What do we do when social media feels like a full-time job?
-
Our website doesn’t sound like us anymore.
I know something isn’t working, but I can’t tell what.
What actually needs to be on the homepage?
How should our services or offers be organized?
What should the customer journey look like?
Do we need a refresh, a rewrite, or a bigger rebuild?
-
What should we even be emailing people?
How do we start or finally use the list we already have?
What should someone receive after they sign up?
How can email fit into the rest of our marketing?
What kinds of emails actually sound like us?
How do we build a list without creating another content machine?
-
I know what we do. Why is it so hard to explain?
Our positioning has changed and the words haven’t caught up.
How do we talk about what makes us different without sounding like everyone else?
What do our customers actually need to understand?
Does this offer/name/message make sense?
How do we make the brand feel more like who we are now?
-
I have an idea for something new. Is there something here?
How should we position or package this offer?
What needs to happen before we launch it?
How do we market it without talking about it nonstop?
Does this belong inside the business we’re already building?
How do we take the idea from “this could be cool” to an actual plan?
-
I have too many ideas and I need to figure out what goes first.
The business is shifting and I want to think through where we’re headed.
There’s an opportunity in front of me and I want to pressure-test it.
Something feels stuck, even though I can’t quite name what.
I keep coming back to the same idea and I think it might be time to do something with it.
I need space to zoom out and look at the whole thing.
You really can bring the messy version.
You do not need to organize it for me first.
Bring the notes app. Bring the screenshots. Bring the seventeen tabs. Bring the idea you’re excited about and the three reasons you’ve already talked yourself out of it.
We’ll start wherever you are.
Here’s how it works.
Once you book, I’ll send over a few questions so I have some context before we meet, then you’ll choose from the strategy-session times I’ve set aside.
When we get together, bring whatever helps us get into it: notes, links, screenshots, half-finished ideas, the thing you keep coming back to. We’ll spend the time talking it through, following what feels important, and figuring out where you want to go from here.
